D-Day Squadron 2024 Legacy Tour PUBLIC DAY

Join the D-Day Squadron 2024 Legacy Tour for a special day open to the public where you will meet the very crew taking these historic DC-3/C-47 aircraft back across the Northern Atlantic where they once touched down and fought in combat during the D-Day invasion 80 years ago, as well as aided Berliners during the Berlin Airlift 75 years ago.

To make our public day go smoothly, we are now offering advanced ticketing where you will arrive and enter through the pre-registration line at the Waterbury-Oxford Airport (OXC). Our charismatic ground crew, team and volunteers will be wearing matching t-shirts. Please note the ticketing options below to what fits your needs.

WEATHER: Public day is weather dependent. While we hope for clear skies and no downpours, the only rescheduling option we have during this short, heavily committed kickoff week is Friday May 17.   • Waterbury-Oxford Airport, 3 Juliano Drive, Oxford, CT 06478
  • These directions will take you on Juliano Drive where you will park along this road where you can find an available spot. Given spacing limitations at the airport, we will not have a separate parking lot for this event. You will need to walk to the entry point, which is advised through directional signage and at Gate-21. There, you will be greeted by the Airdales and D-Day Squadron team who will check your advanced ticketing barcode on your mobile device for entry for you and/or your family, group. Wear comfortable walking shoes please and come prepared!
